Interpretation

CB Translate offers interpreting services , which are divided into the following types:

  • Consecutive interpretation – the speaker delivers a speech, during which the interpreter takes notes and waits for the speaker to pause to translate what was said. This is suitable for conferences with a small number of participants, presentations, training, wedding ceremonies and other similar events.
  • Simultaneous interpretation – the interpreter translates simultaneously with the speaker’s speech, usually in a a pair of two with another interpreter in a specialized booth, equipped with monitors, sound equipment, receivers and headphones
  • Whispered interpretation – translation at the moment of speaking between up to two people without interrupting their speech.

Depending on the situation, interpretations can be used for the following situations:

  • Conferences, trainings, presentations and other official and international events
  • Accompanying – interpreting in various situations like opening a bank account, before a government institution like Migration or KAT
  • Before a notary – an oral translation of a transaction confessed before a notary – e.g. purchase and sale of property, purchase and sale of a vehicle, etc.
  • During a business meeting – the translator can assist in successful communication with foreign guests
  • During private events, weddings, celebrations – providing translation of the ceremony or other program, as well as assist in successful communication between hosts and guests

Interpretations are calculated on an hourly basis, with a minimum charge of one hour.

How can I request an interpretation?

Interpretation requests can be submitted:

  • online via our website contact form
  • via email
  • by giving us a phone call during business hours

Requests for interpretation must be made at least two days in advance.

What information should I provide?

Depending on the type of interpretation, the basic information that should be provided is:

  • The type of interpretation – consecutive, before a notary, before the bank, etc.
  • Address, exact date and time period
  • What the event is about – terminology, event program or other materials

or any other additional information that may be useful.
